Dedicated to top runners
In this special edition 2021 the 42.195 meters will be developed on a fast circuit of 7.5 kilometers, repeated 5 times, with a first round of 4,965 meters, and the hub will be Piazza del Cannone, in front of the fantastic Castello Sforzesco, in the heart of Milan.
The race, starting at 6.30 am, is reserved to élite runners invited by organizers and fast amateurs with a personal best under 2h45’, with a maximum of 120 participants; the most qualified starting list in the story of the event is expected, with the opportunity to improve once again the best results in Italian marathons (2h04’46’’ male and 2h22’25’’ female, both estabilished in the 2019 nella Generali Milano Marathon, by Titus Ekiru and Vivian Kiplagat).
We need to remember that Milan represents one of the few opportunities in Spring for top runners to reach the goal of the minimum olympic qualifing time.
* Reserved to athletes with a personal best under 2h45’ for marathon and 1h15’ for half marathon.
